I love to create abstract fluid art. 

My name is Marissa Recker and I live and create in Madison, WI. I have felt passionate about art for as long as I can remember. When I'm not in my studio I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two boys who are 5 and 1. We are all avid pet lovers! We have three corgis, a saltwater fish tank, and a gecko. I love dog training and compete in agility trials with our three dogs.

My mixed media originals focus on themes of fluidity, movement, and growth. Each piece results from the personal exercise of letting go. I seek to capture emotions familiar to our human experience while drawing out personal feelings that challenge and celebrate each viewer. My heart resides in my work and my greatest hope is that each piece will elicit outward joy with a hidden call to contemplation, celebrating our common human experience together.
